The 24th Tbilisi International Film Festival winners have been revealed
The 24th Tbilisi International Film Festival took place on December 2, showcasing a variety of films. The main award, the “Golden Prometheus”, was given to Zaza Khalvashi’s film “Lotto” in the Best Full-Length Feature film category and Mariam Bitchashvili’s “Soup” won in the Best Short Feature Film category.
In the documentary film nominations, Giorgi Parkosadze’s “Requiem for the Days of Dust” was nominated for the Best Full-Length Documentary, and Aki Manuki’ film “IGI” won Best Short Documentary award.
Special mentions from the jury:
- In the nominations for the full-length feature film category: “Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry”, directed by Elene Naveriani.
- In the nominations for the full-length documentary film category: “Smiling Georgia”, directed by Luka Beradze.
- In the nominations for the short feature film category: “Runaway”, directed by Salome Kintsurashvili.
- In the nominations for the short documentary film category: “I am very good at losing”, directed by Giorgi Parkosadze. Also, Giorgi Parkosadze received special mention from the Georgian National Film Centre for this work.
The Tbilisi International Film Festival concluded on December 3. The festival closed with the film “Fallen Leaves”, directed by Aki Kaurismäki.
